Robinhood doesn’t publish a fixed limit on crypto withdrawals. It says your limit depends on “the level of verification you have completed on your account, your transaction history,” and your payment methods, among other factors, and that it’s “subject to change daily.” You can see yours in the app under Account → Menu → Crypto. Limits may rise automatically as you use Robinhood, but they “can’t be manually increased.” Crypto deposits are unlimited.
This guide covers every limit and hold that affects crypto on Robinhood, including the separate cap for Robinhood Connect, position limits, and the USD transfer limits people often mean when they search for a “deposit limit.” It’s based on Robinhood’s help center and its Robinhood Crypto Customer Agreement, checked on October 2, 2026.

How Robinhood sets your crypto withdrawal limit
Robinhood says withdrawal limits “are determined by a variety of factors,” naming your verification level, your transaction history, and your preferred payment methods. They “may vary depending on your recent account activity” and change from day to day.
Its customer agreement adds more detail. Limits can apply to a single transfer or to a period such as one day, and Robinhood Crypto can impose them “without prior notice.” It can also set special limits on an account that’s restricted or has a negative balance.
Can you raise it? Not by asking. Robinhood says limits “currently, can’t be manually increased,” while also saying “you may qualify for increases in your withdrawal limits.” In practice, that means they can go up automatically, but no one at support can raise them for you.
Does Robinhood Gold help? Robinhood doesn’t say Gold changes crypto withdrawal limits. What Gold does change is how much Instant Deposit money you can use right away: up to your Gold tier amount instead of the usual $1,000.
Why you can’t withdraw all your crypto
Robinhood’s transfers page lists four reasons you might not be able to send everything:
- A bonus hold. Crypto bought with buying power from an ACATS transfer bonus can’t move while that bonus is in its hold period.
- Unsettled bank money. Crypto bought with instant funds from a bank transfer that “hasn’t fully cleared yet” waits for normal settlement.
- Your daily limit. You’ve reached your daily transfer limit.
- Funding methods and other factors.
Other holds can apply too:
| Hold | How long | Source of the rule |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto bought with Instant Deposit money | Until the bank transfer settles, up to 5 business days | Unless you hold other assets worth more than the unsettled amount |
| Address allowlisting turned on or changed | 48 hours; withdrawals are paused | You can still send to addresses already on your list |
| Staked crypto | While bonding or unbonding, which can take several weeks | Locked and unavailable to sell or transfer |
| Deposit-match promotions | 18 months to 2.5 years in recent offers | Withdrawing early can trigger a proportional chargeback of the bonus |
Promotion terms differ by offer. Robinhood’s July 2026 deposit match, for example, requires keeping your balance above the value of your deposits for 2.5 years, while its December 2025 match locked the reward value for 18 months. Check the terms of the offer you took.
Who can transfer crypto on Robinhood
Several rules decide whether you can send crypto at all:
- Transfers must be enabled. Robinhood verifies your identity first, and it “may take up to 5 business days” to review your information and turn on transfers.
- You need an authenticator app. Robinhood’s agreement requires multi-factor authentication with a third-party authenticator app for transfers. If you change phones or authenticator settings, or if any of your accounts is restricted, your transfer enrollment can be switched off until you complete the requirements again.
- Only your primary individual account can transfer. External crypto transfers only work in your primary individual investing account. Joint, managed, custodial, and IRA accounts don’t support crypto at all.
- You need a brokerage account. Since Robinhood retired Spending accounts, every Robinhood Crypto account must be connected to a brokerage account to stay active.
- Basic eligibility. You must be 18 or older, have a valid Social Security number (not a taxpayer ID number), and be a US citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa holder with a US residential address.
Where you live. Robinhood says crypto transfers are available in every US state, plus Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and Washington, D.C. Some coins are restricted by state: in New York, more than two dozen coins (such as BNB, FLOKI, ONDO, PAXG, and TRUMP) can’t be traded, and residents can’t deposit, withdraw, or buy them. USDC isn’t available for trading in Texas. Robinhood applies these rules based on where you live now and anywhere you’ve lived in the past 45 days.
Robinhood Connect has its own published limits
Robinhood Connect is a separate service for buying crypto and sending it straight to a self-custody wallet or app. Unlike regular sends, its limits are published: “up to $5,000 worth of crypto or make up to 10 transfers total in a 24-hour period.” There’s no limit on moving crypto back in through Connect. Purchases through Connect are limited to $1,000–$3,000 a business day by debit card or bank account, depending on your account.
Don’t confuse the two: the $5,000 Connect cap doesn’t apply to sends from the main Robinhood app.
USD transfer limits
Many “Robinhood deposit limit” searches are really about cash. Robinhood’s USD limits are shared across all your Robinhood accounts:
| Transfer type | Deposit limit | Withdrawal limit | Fee | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard bank transfer (ACH) | Up to $500,000 | Up to $250,000 | Free | Deposits up to 5 business days |
| Wire | Unlimited | Between $50,000 and unlimited | $25 to withdraw | Typically same day |
| Debit card | Up to $25,000 | Up to $15,000 | 1.75% to withdraw (minimum $1, maximum $150) | Up to 30 minutes |
| Real-time payments (RTP) | Up to $25,000 | Up to $50,000 | 1.75% to withdraw (minimum $1, maximum $150) | Up to 30 minutes |
Your exact limits are in the app under Transfers. Standard ACH limits reset each business day at 7 p.m. ET; instant bank and debit card limits reset at midnight ET. Robinhood says there’s no direct way to change them. Cash from selling crypto can be used to trade right away, but withdrawing it to your bank follows the standard ACH settlement period of up to 5 business days.
How to check your Robinhood crypto limits
- Open the Robinhood app and tap Account (the person icon).
- Tap Menu (the three bars), then Crypto.
- Review your crypto transfer limits for withdrawals and deposits.
- For cash limits, open Transfers and view your transfer limits.
If a send fails because of a limit, wait for your daily limit to reset or split the transfer across days.
If you’ve been targeted, see where to report a scam.

Frequently asked questions
What is Robinhood's crypto withdrawal limit?
Robinhood doesn't publish a single number. It says limits depend on your verification level, transaction history, and preferred payment methods, among other factors, and can change daily. You can see yours in the app under Account → Menu → Crypto.
How do I increase my Robinhood crypto withdrawal limit?
You can't ask for it. Robinhood says withdrawal limits currently can't be manually increased, but you may qualify for automatic increases as you use your account.
Is there a limit on crypto deposits to Robinhood?
No. Robinhood says crypto deposits are unlimited. Each coin still has to be one Robinhood supports, sent on the right network.
Does Robinhood Gold increase crypto withdrawal limits?
Robinhood doesn't say it does. Gold raises how much Instant Deposit money you can use right away, up to your Gold tier amount, but no official page links Gold to crypto withdrawal limits.
Why can't I withdraw all my crypto from Robinhood?
Robinhood lists four reasons: crypto bought with an ACATS bonus still in its hold period, crypto bought with instant funds from a bank transfer that hasn't cleared, reaching your daily transfer limit, and your funding methods or other factors.
How soon can I send crypto I just bought on Robinhood?
Right away if you paid with settled money. If you used Instant Deposit money, you have to wait for the bank transfer to settle, up to 5 business days, unless you hold other assets worth more than the unsettled amount. Promotional bonuses can carry much longer holds.
Can I transfer crypto from a Robinhood IRA or joint account?
No. Joint, managed, custodial, and IRA accounts don't support trading or transferring crypto. External crypto transfers only work from your primary individual investing account.
